Google has released a new programming language called Go. Google wants to offer a couple of benefits from their language: fast compilation, easy analyzing of dependencies, static types that nevertheless feel more lightweight compared to some other languages, and multi-core machine support.
Go is not (not yet anyway) an approved official Google-internal language, but apparently more of an experiment for "adventurous users", started in September 2007 by Robert Griesemer, Rob Pike and Ken Thompson. The motivation for a new language is explained at the Go site:

Go is an attempt to combine the ease of programming of an interpreted, dynamically typed language with the efficiency and safety of a statically typed, compiled language. It also aims to be modern, with support for networked and multicore computing. Finally, it is intended to be fast: it should take at most a few seconds to build a large executable on a single computer. To meet these goals required addressing a number of linguistic issues: an expressive but lightweight type system; concurrency and garbage collection; rigid dependency specification; and so on. These cannot be addressed well by libraries or tools; a new language was called for.

Why doesn't Go offer generic types? Google explains that the language does not offer them yet, but that they may well be added at some point. The site says:

Generics are convenient but they come at a cost in complexity in the type system and run-time. We haven't yet found a design that gives value proportionate to the complexity, although we continue to think about it. Meanwhile, Go's built-in maps and slices, plus the ability to use the empty interface to construct containers (with explicit unboxing) mean in many cases it is possible to write code that does what generics would enable, if less smoothly.
This remains an open issue.

Here's a bit of Go code to give you an idea, and much more is explained in Google's tutorials. I've just copied some syntax samples into this bit of code, not to create a compilable valid program but for the sake of showing off some of the := declaration syntax, the "missing" if and for brackets, the use of semi-colons as separators but not terminators (the tutorial code seems to be inconsequential about this, or I'm missing something), the implicit break in the switch statement and more:

Content Management System, or CMS is an application used to manage news easily so that users can publish, edit and delete articles from the back-end admin system. HTML and other scripting language are not necessary to operate a CMS, though having them will add more advantages.

Since we had looked into 22 open source PHP frameworks, i decided to do a roundup of 20 Open Source PHP Content Management Systems so that readers who don’t have strong PHP knowledge can easily create their website using free and open source CMS.

1. Wordpress

Wordpress is a powerful yet easy to use content management system. Initially it was designed as a blogging platform. However, it slowly become popular and can be customized into a powerful CMS with some tricks and plugins. I had wrote an article about Wordpress SEO plugins and also talked about things that you should know about Wordpress 2.8.

2. Drupal

Drupal is a free and open source modular framework and Content Management System (CMS) written in PHP. It is used as a back-end system for many different types of websites, ranging from small personal blogs to large corporate and political sites.

Did you always want to have a real short and sweet e-mail id on a website. But Ah! yahoo, google and others always put those restrictions that your userid should be at least these many characters.
So, the desire to get a real good id was always a dream. A dream only till recently.

Somebody launched a website in.com and wanting to project it India's next yahoo or google mail service (?) .
As the service is relatively new, chances are that you would get your first name as e-mail id. And who knows you could get really lucky if it goes to become next yahoo!

So, what's so wonderful about all this? Well, the intersting part is:
You could get a two-letter e-mail id at in.com using a small hack
Welcome to the Internet in.com!
Just a small trick gets you a two letter id, just like I got tn@in.com and sms@in.com for me.
While signing up on the website, put two consecutive periods (dots) between the two letters that you want your e-mail Id to be and thee you go!
For example, two select my id "tn" , I selected a user-id "t..n" and got tn@in.com
three select my id "sms", i selected a user -id "s..ms" and got sms@in.com
It's as simple as that but hurry up before they fix it.
